Bayani Lauraya, Managing Partner of Kreston Thailand and a member of the BeLuThai Board of Directors, attended “Joint Chambers Navigate Thai Tax with the Revenue Department,” a seminar held on Tuesday, 25 August 2026, at Kandhavas Place, The Athenee Hotel, A Luxury Collection Hotel, Bangkok.
The half-day seminar was organized by BeLuThai in collaboration with the Joint Foreign Chambers of Commerce in Thailand (JFCCT), the Thai Authorized Customs Brokers Association (TACBA), and several other chambers, including the Irish-Thai, Singapore-Thai, Thai-Norwegian, Netherlands-Thai, Thai European Business Association, Thai-Canadian, Thai-Hong Kong Trade, Thai-Italian, American, and Franco-Thai chambers of commerce.
The guest speaker, Mr. Viriya Ponhem, Senior Professional Tax Economist at the Revenue Department’s Tax Policy and Planning Division, covered key tax issues for foreign-invested and local businesses in Thailand. Topics included VAT compliance and refund procedures, withholding tax obligations, corporate income tax requirements, cross-border payments and transactions, income tax audit preparedness, and recent regulatory developments from the Revenue Department.
The seminar gave participants a clearer understanding of Thailand’s tax framework and practical guidance on strengthening compliance while minimizing tax-related risks in their business operations.
